If only

If only we knew why
The sky surrounds,
The animals live,
The plants thrive.

If we had the knowledge
To sever the bonds that hold us,
To break free,
Live life to the fuller,

To see.

To see the true beauty of the earth.
To nurture our hope,
And ride bikes instead of driving cars,
To take walks outside and look at the stars,
And to feel the wind as it shakes the very earth,
Or to even see the seal's talk to each other.

To make the world a beautiful place again.
